ACUPUNCTURE

Traditional Chinese Medicine focuses on the body as whole, instead of simply treating the symptoms.  By incorporating acupuncture, acupressure, supplements, cupping and dietary recommendations, Dr. Robin is able to diagnose and treat the entire family from a different approach than your typical Western Medicine doctor.

TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE & ACUPUNCTURE

An acupuncture appointment at Same Stars Wellness includes a customized treatment plan, based on the individual’s clinical findings and patient needs.

Initial appointments are 1 hour in length and include a thorough health history and assessment to ensure you are being treated in the most effective manner.

Follow up appointments are 45 minutes, and can include treatments such as acupuncture, cupping and other modalities.  Dr. Robin will review your progress at each appointment and adjust the treatment plan when needed.

The acupuncture needles are very thin, and most people feel little to no pain.  Some patients report that they feel a slight prick when the needles enter the skin while others report feeling nothing.

How Does Acupuncture work?

Acupuncture has been developed over 2500 years and looks at the entire body to determine where a person’s symptoms are coming from. It has been proven that acupoints are strong nervous system centers, and when a needle is inserted, the nervous system is encouraged to heal itself.
